Silky and soft texture, caressing, rich and powerful, slight astringency in the finish. Wine needs to evolve for 1-2 years to find the perfect balance. "
Deep purple colour and violet reflexions. Beautifully aromatic, intense, dominant juicy black fruit combined with the perfumes of Provence and sweet spices.
A seductive palate: firm, mature tannins; combined with a fleshy character constitute a well-rounded wine with good volume.
Carefully measured balance for this racy wine that can be drunk pleasurably now, but will also surprise us for many years.
We have a limited production of this wine made from 100% mourvèdre grapes. The mourvèdre is a variety of Spanish origin, often used in the in Provence region. It is very late to ripen and is naturally at ease in the island’s coastal vineyards, which enables the Abbaye de Lérins to develop a rich, elegant and smooth wine.
